Sales – Key Account Manager – Gloucestershire £44,200pa

A well-established international manufacturing company is moving to the Gloucestershire area, and we will open ample opportunities for new recruits. It is a new start up within the UK so requires someone who is flexible. They are currently looking for a Key Account Manager in their Sales Department paying paying £44,200 with slight movement on this.

They offer attractive benefits with a Friday finish time of 3pm as well as Hybrid working.

Main duties and aims:

The following duties and aims are the responsibility of this partner in coordination and agreement with the General Manager:

  • Develop and execute a business plan for customers that ensures the achievement of volume and profit margin targets
  • Responsible for pricing, customer profitability, new business, voice of customer, comprehensive follow through with internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Develop a multi-level and cross-functional relationship with all external customer departments (QA, operations, Marketing, Purchasing, R&D, Supply Chain, Culinary, etc.) and link into the company where appropriate
  • Provide field support/ in-market support for customers based in the UK (growing market presence) or France (our most critical market)
  • Analyze, plan, and manage each account to maintain and strengthen the Company’s/ Customer business partnership, achieve the company’s objectives, and maximise the accounts profitability
  • Generate new business by adding new customers and expanding current product lines with existing customers
  • Monitor financial performance, identify opportunities, and recommend programs with customers to assist in growing their business. Forecast financial performance for internal by working with SFE cost accounting

Skills

  • The position requires a high proficiency English; French as a second language would be desired
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with a flexible mindset and an eye for detail
  • Knowledge of and experience of working in the dairy market
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of influence and emotional maturity
  • Analytical thinking and flexible working methods
  • Confident and professional in dealing with people at all levels, internally and externally – from client to senior management to partners in the different plants/office
  • Self-motivated with lots of enthusiasm to push boundaries and committed to reaching and surpassing the objectives
  • Resilient – able to manage the challenges and find mutually beneficial outcomes
  • A real team player, with strong multi-tasking skills and an ability to work well under pressure and to excel in meeting hard deadlines
  • Curious, entrepreneurial mindset
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills – PowerPoint and Excel
  • Empathic towards customers and partners
  • Willingness and ability to learn

  • Education – bachelor’s degree (food related, sales/marketing and/or General Business Management)
  • Experience – 3-5 years in Sales (Ideally FMCG/Dairy) previous experience with current global QSR customers preferred
