Maintenance Team Leader – up to £65k per annum
They are currently seeking a Maintenance Team Leader to oversee all facility maintenance activities within the new plant. The Maintenance Team Leader’s work involves full maintenance control within the facility.
Responsibilities include routine and turnaround maintenance and plant modifications, oversight of R&S budget, utilities, and spare parts
Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety of Maintenance Technicians and direct reports.
- Oversee all maintenance activities in the facility.
- Monitor execution of best practices to ensure compliance and take appropriate corrective actions in a timely manner (with Operations Management).
- Account for the maintenance functions and take necessary action to ensure that key performance targets are met. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take appropriate corrective action.
- Ensuring maintenance resources provide a productive, efficient, and cost-effective execution of maintenance schedules across work area.
- Manage the maintenance budget.
- Monitor execution of maintenance partner and leader skills development to match technological advancements in the industry.
- Develop and administer asset reliability and care plans based on asset criticality, total cost of ownership, risk, and company needs. Maintain capital planning and asset replacement strategies.
- Ensure that manpower is allocated in the most effective manner.
- Ensure supervisory support is provided to carry out weekly, daily, and shutdown schedules.
- Approve purchase requisitions and purchase orders for direct purchase of materials in a timely manner.
- Follow up on recommendations from Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to ensure corrective actions are taken in a timely manner (with Operations Management).
- Define priorities for area (with Operations Management).
- Ensure the 12-Month and 12-Week Event Schedules (with Operations Management) are developed and maintained.
- Provide oversight for process development and engineering design with Corporate
- Engineering. Participate in systems analysis, automation feasibility and justification studies. Produce working drawings of equipment and floor plans.
- Investigate new technology in production methods and recommend application for the company.
- Follow up on Post-Shutdown Lessons Learned Meeting assignments to ensure timely
- completion.
- Ensure work is identified (early) to be done during scheduled shutdown events.

- Ensure Post-Shutdown Lessons Learned Meeting occurs.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but an associate degree in a technical field may be considered if accompanied by relevant experience and demonstrated performance.
- Field of study preferred: Food Dairy Science, Engineering; Finance, Supply Chain, Management; Operations Management; Related technical field.
- 10+ years’ experience within Manufacturing
